Preparing for your newborn session at home is simple and genuinely stress-free. We may suggest clearing a small surface or tidying a corner here and there, but nothing needs to be spotless or styled. Setting aside any sentimental items or keepsakes you’d like included is always a nice touch, whether that’s a special blanket, an heirloom, or something you picked out just for them. Having a few neutral outfits on hand can also be helpful, since softer tones tend to keep the focus on your baby rather than the clothing. Beyond that, the most important thing you can do is rest, feed your baby, and let us handle the rest.
The Best Spots in Your Home for Newborn Photos

Including older siblings in your newborn session is always encouraged and often creates some of the most meaningful images. What's included in an At-Home Newborn Photography Session
Newborn sessions start at $500 and take place in the comfort of your own home, so there’s no studio to travel to and no unfamiliar environment for your baby. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes and are completely baby-led, moving at whatever pace feels right for your little one that day. Travel is included in this price, so there are no additional travel fees for homes located in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, or any of their suburbs.
Amelia is a registered labor and delivery nurse, which means your baby is always in caring and experienced hands. Parents, siblings, and family are all included at no extra charge, and you’ll never pay per photo.
Afterward, you’ll receive 50 to 75+ fully edited images in both color and black and white, delivered to your private online gallery within 1 to 2 weeks.
